 | This Week... It's been a momentous week. On Tuesday, we came off all Sir Walter Raleigh and landed in the Americas to host a glitzy party with our friends at Netflix marking the launch of Empire's US edition. Far better than the potato - even the mighty Maris Piper - we discovered Walton Goggins, Jeremy Renner, David Fincher, Rian Johnson and a host of other Hollywood luminaries shaking their stuff on the dancefloor. Back in Blighty, the crew of The Red Dwarf popped in for a podchat, film guru David Thomson stopped by to do his Michael Caine impression and we soaked up first-look trailers for Die Hard 5 and The Lone Ranger . All eyes are on that bird on Johnny Depp's head. Will it fly off and try to peck Rod Taylor's eyes out? Watch this space. Phil de Semlyen Staff Writer, Empire | | |

 | | | | | Does Elementary Cut The Mustard? If, like me, you can't get enough of the BBC's addictive-as-heroin Sherlock (seriously third season, hurry up), then you probably aren't holding out much hope for CBS's American interpretation of Arthur Conan Doyle's source material. Putting aside the brilliance of Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss' version for a moment, there's also the little matter of Guy Ritchie's big-screen interpretation, meaning that Elementary faced the potential problem of Arthur Conan Doyle fatigue. Take into account the poor track record of Americanisations of British shows, and things weren't looking too good. | | | |

 | | | | | Bond Songs Through The Decades Like the movies themselves, the theme tunes for James Bond's cinematic output has evolved over the years as music fashions changed and new attitudes arrived. With Adele warbling the theme to Skyfall now, we're cracking open the archives and taking a look at the crooners and their tunes from the 1960s through to today. Pop... Rock... Techno. Which one makes your ears happiest? And as Bond turns 50, which song would he want played at the party? | |

| | | 19 Great Revenge Movie Characters From those early astronauts in Méliès's Trip To The Moon who got their revenge in first to the awesome avenging power of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s cohorts, cinema is ripe with badasses ready and willing to do whatever it takes to bring the bad men out there to heel - or, failing that, kill them. Omitting Westerns - we'd be here all day - here's a few of the baddest, most cold-blooded revengers and their fiercest moments... |
| | | Guess The Movie Logo From The Letter Here at Empire, the Ultimate Picture Quizzes are something of an institution, up there with the Movie Poster Mash-Ups and jokes about Phil's love of art house movies. This doesn't mean they're always about such simple things as guns, masks or shirts and ties - sometimes they're about something much more abstract. Something like... letters from movie poster logos. So if you're ready and willing to take on one of the toughest we've ever done, then put in the names of the appropriate movies in the boxes below... |

As movie institutions go, The Governator is one of the biggest (literally), making this poll of polls one of the trickiest we've ever asked you to take part in. Will Terminator 2: Judgment Day blow away the competition, or will diehard Commando fans win the day? Perhaps powerlifters will storm in with a Pumping Iron voting bloc or those closet Last Action Hero aficionados (we know you're out there) will make their presence felt - whatever the weather, take your time and choose wisely from the surprisingly long list below. |
| | | Infographic: The World's End Movie Connections For the third instalment of his The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, Edgar Wright has reassembled old muckers Nick Frost, Simon Pegg and Paddy Considine, added newbies Rosamund Pike and Eddie Marsan, and created a dream cast to take us to The World's End and (hopefully) back. Wright's chat pack are no strangers, though, as Empire's infographic demonstrates. |
| | | The 5 Styles Of Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Posters Arnold Schwarzenegger's return to the big screen for The Last Stand heralds not only more onscreen Arnie action but also more Arnie posters, with promo designers preparing even bigger guns for The Governator to hold as Breacher, The Tomb and others come out.
