Terry Gilliam woke up a little late this Tuesday morning, and found himself running to Empire's offices leaving a trail of croissant crumbs in his wake. We're very grateful that he did, though, because now we have a marvellously entertaining podcast special with the director, wherein you can hear him discuss everything from The Fisher King's Central Station dance scene to the asteroid that was named after him. Elsewhere, we published Bill Murray's classic Pint of Milk interview, looked at the greatest TV chat show arrivals and assembled the best, worst and weirdest Godzilla posters you will ever see. We also stuck our necks out to predict the biggest box-office hits this year and the perfect casting for the planned Last Of Us movie - so drop by the site and tell us what we got wrong, as is traditional. With the sun in the sky and spring in the air, we can take it, dammit.

The 15 Biggest Films Of 2014... And How Much They'll (Probably) Make
The Lego Movie has started 2014 with a bang, banking over $360m worldwide to date. But what films will join or even surpass it at the box office this year? Well, it's mostly going to be the usual suspects - blockbusters, sequels, sequels to blockbusters - but we thought we'd gather the likeliest of the bunch in no particular order in one handy guide. If you are an unabashed populist who only goes to the cinema once or twice a month, these are the movies to bookmark. And if you want to know more about this year's biggest films, check out the Megazine, onsale now...

    The Empire Podcast #102
Do you feel the need, the need to, um, listen to the Empire Podcast? Good, because here's this week's edition, featuring the exceptionally delightful Imogen Poots (of A Long Way Down fame) and Jonathan Glazer (of Under The Skin, Sexy Beast and that Guinness advert fame). Look forward to in-depth discussions of both Steven Seagal and Chuck Norris's oeuvres.

    Terry Gilliam Empire Podcast Special
Terry Gilliam. American. Cartoonist. Artist. Python. Film maker. Former Python. Film maker quite a few more times. Opera buff. Screenwriter. Beard owner. Former American. Python once more and director of The Zero Theorem, his latest film, and star of his very own Empire Podcast inteview special. Look forward to hearing his excellent laugh on many occasions (and several excellent anecdotes, to boot).

12 Of Hollywood's Best TV Chat Show Entrances
Footage of Nic Cage cartwheeling onto Terry Wogan's chat show in 1992 resurfaced on the internet this week, leading to many discussions of whether The Artist Formerly Known As Nicolas Kim Coppola throwing wads of cash at an amazed audience is the finest chat show entrance of all time. It's a tough call, and to help you make it, here are 12 other joyfully ludicrous on-screen handshakes from Hollywood's great and good.

30 Unbelieveable Sequels You Never Knew Existed: Part 2
By popular demand (from Ali Plumb), here's another list of follow-up follies that perhaps don't quite measure up to The Godfather: Part II. As before, we've chosen to mostly ignore the obvious (and even not so obvious) horror franchises, on the assumption that everyone's used to those things just lumbering on. But here are another 30 surprise instalments in series you might not have known continued beyond Part One. Did we miss any? Anyone lamenting the non-inclusion of The Black Stallion Returns? Let us know in the comments (but bear in mind there are 40 more of these things on the other list).

Mark Kermode On The Future Of Cinema As We Know It
Arguably the UK's most famous film critic, Mark Kermode has been musing over movies for decades. He's forever popping up on The Culture Show, BBC News, Radio 5 Live (with his partner-in-crime, Simon Mayo) and - despite rubbishing the whole venture prior to joining it - Twitter. His third book, Hatchet Job, sees him delve into the topical argument of critics and their role in the film world today, and here is an extended interview with the great man originally heard (in part) on the Empire Podcast.

10 Wonderful, Wacky And Wonky Godzilla Posters From Around The World
Godzilla has been on our minds lately, what with the huge beast's appearance on our latest cover, that fabulous new trailer (our breakdown is here ) and the general swell of interest in Gareth Edwards' take this summer. But this is far from the first outing for Gojira, and there is a huge wealth of posters heralding the arrival of the fire-breathing, city-stomping menace. Here we have chosen a few of our favourites, from the artful to the awful...

Classic Pint Of Milk Interview: Bill Murray
Golfer, actor and anecdote enthusiast Bill Murray is the kind of man who excels at interviews, recently turning The Graham Norton Show into some sort of carnival. But how did he fare when he was faced with Empire's own particular set of silly questions?

10 Actors Who Could Play Joel In The Last Of Us Movie
Sam Raimi is producing the movie adaptation of Naughty Dog's critically-acclaimed action-adventure survival horror video game, The Last Of Us, which means he's bound to be thinking about casting right about now. Though the young female lead, Ellie, will probably have to be a newcomer, Joel - a ruthless survivor of a fungal spore-based infection that turns human into zombies - will no doubt be played by a more established actor. Here are 10 suggestions (mostly serious), for who should play the grizzled shiv swinger.

    The A-Z Of Terry Gilliam
As a filmmaker, Terence Vance Gilliam's career has been, if nothing else, eventful. He's grappled with studios more publicly than almost anyone else, seen disaster strike nearly every film he works on, and has constantly pursued his appropriately quixotic task of dragging Don Quixote to the big screen. With all this drama, disaster and success, it's easy to forget he was once one sixth of Monty Python. He'll be joining the rest of the surviving troupe onstage at London's O2 later in 2014, but not before the release of his latest film, The Zero Theorem.

    What The Hell Is Harmontown?
If you Google Dan Harmon, amongst the suggestions that appear are "Dan Harmon Community," "Dan Harmon Chevy Chase" and "Dan Harmon fired". In its neat little way, the search engine thus sums up the three things for which the writer is best known: creating cult US comedy Community, having an enormous bust-up with cast member Chevy Chase (involving Harmon publicly playing an expletive-ridden voicemail from the actor) and getting fired from that very same show he created. It wasn't always this way.

It's the tangle of workings-out not the easy answer that are the proof of a theorem, and that magnificent, sparkling, insightful chaos abounds here.
