 | This Week... We've had quite a week here at Empire. We unveiled the cover of the latest magazine - or rather covers, since you have the choice of Batman or Catwoman - and gave readers a quick taster of our mammoth Dark Knight Rises coverage inside. Cuba Gooding Jr visited the Empire office for a webchat, showing only slightly less enthusiasm than he did when he won his Oscar. As if that weren't enough, I climbed a mountain to see bears, our Phil went swimming with sharks and Ali went rollercoastering with Transformers (more on those trips some other time). Finally, our amazing editorial assistant Lucy left us for pastures new. Over the past two years she's dressed stars for photo shoots, been hit on by celebrities, made the Empire Awards and Big Screen go without a hitch and "accidentally" told Chris Hemsworth he was fit. We'll miss her! Helen O'Hara Deputy Editor, Empire | | |

 | | | | | Moonrise Kingdom Video Interviews A new film from indie king Wes Anderson is something always to be welcomed, especially when it's as packed with interesting stars and quirky touches as Moonrise Kingdom. We sat down with director Wes Anderson, grown-up stars Edward Norton and Jason Schwartzman and child stars Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward to learn more about the scouting-focused, romantically inclined Cannes opener... | |
| | | The Empire Podcast #13 It may be unlucky for some, but number 13 went without hitch or hazard as this week made it a baker's dozen of Empire podcasts. Not that we didn't take a chance asking along The Raid's director Gareth Evans, a man who's never seen a building he didn't want to punch holes in, for a chat about his blistering martial arts actioner. |
| | | Skyfall Teaser Trailer Breakdown Here, six months ahead of its November release, is our first-ever look at Skyfall, Bond's 23rd adventure. Stylish violence and requisite sexiness are still obviously the order of the day, but with Sam Mendes at the helm and John Logan on script duties, this is clearly a 007 of a different flavour. For a start, it has giant blue jellyfish in it... |
| | | What To Expect When You're Expecting Interviews It's based on a pregnancy advice book rather than the usual novel / comic book / theme-park ride, but What To Expect When You're Expecting still managed to attract an all-star ensemble cast to its many-stranded tale. We talked to a few members of that cast in London recently, to ask about pregnancy, birth and film-making. Here's what Cameron Diaz, Matthew Morrison and Chace Crawford had to tell us... |
| | | How To Make A Billion Dollars At The Box Office Updated: There are now twelve films that have passed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box-office (unadjusted for inflation), making it the new benchmark for a big blockbuster. The Avengers is the latest to pass the ten-figure mark, joining Avatar, Titanic, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Toy Story 3, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Alice In Wonderland and The Dark Knight. So what do all these films have in common? Here's what we've learned about the billion-dollar club... |
| | | Cuba Gooding Jr. Webchat Transcript A man you'd want with you in a dogfight - an aeroplane dogfight, not one with actual dogs mind - Cuba Gooding Jr. has returned to the skies in George Lucas's new World War II flick Red Tails. The one-time The Tuskegee Airmen knows his way around a fighter cockpit, but does he know his way around a web cockpit? Once we'd figured out what that even is, we hit him with your questions on everything from his Oscar night experience to his relationship with Reebok. | | | |

 | | | | | Personalised Love Hearts for the DVD and Blu-ray release of Like Crazy. Which, coincidentally, is how we all behaved after eating all this sugar. | | | |

 | | | | | Moonrise Kingdom As funny, bittersweet and as distinct as you'd expect from Wes Anderson, a director who helps you know you are not alone. Terrific performances from sprogs to stars and a lovely sense of the sorrow and joy of growing up. | | | | Also Out | | | This week's video trailers and clips. Every week, our video player will update to show trailers and clips from the week's movie releases listed above. | | |
 |
 | | | | | The Descendants A marvellous follow-up to 2004's Sideways - well worth the wait. | | | | Also Out Haywire Meet Mallory: she can kick Chuck Norris' ass. | The Grey Jaws with paws. | | | |
